"She was a faithful member of the Roman Catholic faith and attended Massdaily while her health permitted. In her earlier days, she had a stall atthe Charlottetown Market Building where she sold her home-made toffee andbaked goods. She also had Auction 45 card games in her home on a regularbasis and sold spruce beer during the card sessions. She remained in herhome on Spring Park Road, Charlottetown until a fall down her cellarsteps resulted in a broken hip for her. She moved in with her sonWilliam, and his wife Pearl and family until her death on 1 January 1950"(DeCoste Family Tree by Ralph DeCoste in 2003).
