Born in Montreal, Dr. John earned his B.A. from McGill University and his Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo. His post-doctoral studies took him to Japan, where he immersed himself in eastern philosophies, and India, where he studied Yoga. He taught University and did research in Japan and Canada, and performed advocacy and consulting work, as well as private practice. He authored several books in Japanese and English. Dr. John was a man of many interests, but always an avid fisherman and fly-tier, as well as an accomplished jazz guitarist.
