Born in Bridgewater,
Nova Scotia, Suzanne Goyetche grew up with the beauty of the LaHave River
and the splendor of the sea around her. She always wanted to paint.
Suzanne's beginnings
in art were self-taught. She began in pencil and it was not until 1995 that
she took classes from Theresa Nickerson. She fell in love with painting.

Suzanne moved
on to acrylics and attended workshops conducted by Shirley Scott, Kim Horgan,
Sherry Finch, Herzl Kashetsky, Les Rolston, as well as Graham Baker, a Nova
Scotia marine artist.
She now paints
with heat set oils and has turned a corner in her painting which has encouraged
her to try new techniques. She particularly enjoys doing landscapes and pet
portraits.
Artist quote:
"I have no idea where I am headed with my art, I only know I eventually
want to get there".
